List: Top 30 Most Played Songs on Irish Radio in 2011

PPI (Phonographic Performance Ireland Limited) which represents record companies big and small in Ireland reveal the Top 30 most played international and Irish songs as they meet today for their annual AGM. The list was compiled by PPI from 37 national and local stations

Out of the 2.6 million airplays on Irish Radio in 2011, the most played song in Ireland was Jessie J’s ‘Price Tag’ with Maroon 5′s ‘Moves like Jagger’ a close second. Only four Irish artists appeared in the top 30, The Script coming in at #7 ‘If Ever You Come Back’, followed by Royseven with ‘We Should be Lovers’ at #11 with Bressie in at #21 ‘Can’t Stay Young Forever’ and Snow Patrol lagging behind at #27.

Dick Doyle, CEO of PPI said “Its very gratifying to see how well Irish artists have performed in the chart against such stiff international competition.” With only 13% of the acts on the list coming from these shores, he’s an easily pleased man.

The final list is based on airplay logs supplied to PPI by Irish radio stations ; 2fm , 4fm, 98 fm, Beat 102-103, Clare fm, East Coast, FM 104, Galway Bay, Highland Radio, iRadio, KCLR 96FM, KFM, Limerick Live 95fm, LMFM, Lyric FM ,
