Back in 2009, I saw Jason Mraz play the Academy in Dublin. It was a fantastic gig, where he played almost everything from his new record We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. His latest LOVE is a Four Letter Word follows on from that album with more surfer-style pop. The one thing that disappointed me about that 2006 gig, however, was the lack of classic material such as ‘The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)’ or ‘Curbside Prophet’. Jason Mraz played both those tunes, as well as previewing ‘I’m Yours’ when he came to Dublin back on Valentine’s Day 2006 to play upstairs in Whelan’s of Wexford Street.
You can download the full February 14th, 2006 gig below, and even sample one of the songs beforehand. Thanks to Matthias John for the tape.
Be warned however that this show is in FLAC format, so you may need to download a codec to play them, or maybe convert them to mp3s. More info here:
