If Albert Hammond Jr and Karen O can go off and have their own solo careers or side projects, why can’t the rest of The Strokes and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs? Well, that’s exactly what Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture has done. He’s formed side project Nickel Eye (gettit?), and even dragged along Regina Spektor and YYY’s guitarist Nick Zinner for the fun of it.
He has set up a MySpace, mentions an album The Time of the Assassins but has yet to upload any music, here:
