Live: Sea Sessions Surf & Music Festival 2011

The lineup for the 2011 Bundoran Sea Sessions was announced last night at a fancy launch party in the Workman’s Club. With great musical acts and a whole host of other entertainment and sport, this year’s is already looking like the best yet. (And they didn’t even ask me to say that!)

Musically, the two biggest draws are Bell x1 and Ziggy Marley, although there’s some other fantastic names on the bill including Charles Bradley, Grandmaster Flash, The Go! Team, and tonnes of great Irish bands too: Ham Sandwich, O Emperor, Japanese Popstars, Codes, Cashier No.9, I could go on…

On the non-music side of things, there’s the Expressions Sessions Surf Event, and the Relentless Ramp Rage Jump Show for BMX and skaters, plus a Surf Film Festival, Beach Tag Rugby, and a whole lot more.

Sea Sessions won the Best Small Festival Award at last year’s Irish Festival Awards, but with more than ever this year, it might have moved up to a Medium-sized festival! Weekend tickets for Sea Sessions 2010 are just €79.95, while camping will cost you an extra twenty quid. Not too shabby!

BellX1, Brian Deady, Cashier No 9, Charles Bradley, Codes, Fred, Funeral Suits, Grandmaster Flash, Ham Sandwich, Hat n Cara, Japanese Popstars, Norman Jay, O Emperor, Rooftop Anthem, RoySeven, Skatalites, The Danger Is, The Delays, The Go! Team, The Kanyu Tree, The Minutes, Windings, Ziggy Marley
