Every year, established artists release great albums with absolutely terrible album covers. Lou Reed and Metallica’s Lulu was a standout of 2011, perhaps not musically but for having an atrocious cover. This year’s best candidate already looks like the new Bat for Lashes record. Luckily the music inside seems like it’s going to be just as ethereal and fantastic as her first two albums. ‘Laura’ is the first single from The Haunted Man, and made its debut on BBC Radio 1 yesterday. The Haunted Man is out stateside 10/23 on Capitol, and 10/15 in the UK via Parlophone/EMI.
